What is the weight capacity of your cribs and beds?
150 lb
I’m a parent, can I purchase your cribs or beds directly from you?
We do not sell our equipment to parents and caregivers directly. We sell our equipment, as well as the replacement parts and mattresses, through durable medical equipment dealers (DME dealers), who will handle the process of getting any of these items paid for through your child’s insurance or Medicaid so that you do not have to pay out of pocket. If you currently work with a DME dealer for any other equipment for your child, such as a wheelchair, they may be able to assist in getting our equipment as well.
I’m a dealer, I have never purchased from you before and would like to get a quote on a crib/bed. How can I get an account with you?
It’s easy! Just email your billing and shipping address info and contact information to homecare@hardmfg.com. Let us know which piece of equipment you would like quoted or request our price list so you can see what we offer and the options available.
What is the difference between your Stockton and Monroe Beds, or your Standard and Springfield Cribs?
The Stockton Bed and Standard Crib are made for children who are not at risk to climb or flip over the side rails and fall. Neither the Stockton Bed nor Standard Crib have what is called a “safety top.”
In contrast, the Monroe Bed and Springfield Crib are made for active children who can sit up on their own, kneel, stand, and may be at risk to climb or fall out of a regular bed or the Stockton Bed or Standard Crib. Both the Monroe Bed and the Springfield Crib feature vinyl safety panels on all 4 sides to prevent the child from being able to get out on their own, and an optional vinyl top/ceiling cover is also available if needed.
What size crib or bed should I choose?
The size of the crib or bed is dependent on how tall the child is currently and how much more he or she is expected to grow. If the child will grow at a normal rate, then choose a crib or bed that will allow the child room to grow for several years. If no further growth is expected, choose a size that the child can be comfortable in and have enough room in. Bear in mind when choosing a size, that Medicaid and insurances generally want a client to have the crib or bed for at least 5 years before they will approve another, larger piece of equipment.
What are the differences between the mattresses you have?
Our beds come with a 5” innerspring mattress, but we also have an 8” pressure-reduction mattress available as an upgrade for children who are at risk to develop pressure sores. Our cribs come with a 3” foam mattress (with the exception of the H1982-YGP model that comes with a 5” innerspring mattress due to its size), and we have upgrades available of 4” foam, 5” foam, and 5” pressure-reduction foam.
I need to move my child’s crib/bed. Are there instructions on how to take it apart and reassemble?
Yes, you can email homecare@hardmfg.com and request the instructions. Please send the model number of the bed with your request.
